How to flip or rotate a picture
- Choose your picture
Tap "Choose picture", drag one onto the page, or paste it with Ctrl+V. You can add several at once if you want to fix a whole batch the same way.
- Flip, turn or straighten it
Tap a button to mirror it, flip it upside down, or turn it left, right or all the way around. Open "More options" to straighten a tilted horizon or fine-tune corners, format and quality.
- Download
Tap "Download picture". With several pictures, everything is saved together in one ZIP file.
Questions
My selfie looks back to front — how do I fix it?
Front (selfie) cameras usually show a mirror image on screen so it feels natural while you're taking the photo, but the saved picture can end up flipped compared to how everyone else sees you — text in the background may read backwards, for example. Tap "Mirror" to flip it back the right way.
My photo is sideways or upside down — how do I turn it the right way up?
This happens when a phone or camera was held a different way when the photo was taken. Tap "Turn left" or "Turn right" until it looks upright, or "Turn around" if it's fully upside down. Watching the preview will tell you straight away which one you need.
Will flipping or rotating make my picture blurry?
Mirroring and turning by 90°, 180° or 270° never loses any quality — every pixel just moves to a new spot. Straightening by a smaller angle (fixing a tilted horizon) does need a little smoothing, and the quality slider only matters when saving as JPG, WEBP, AVIF or HEIC.
What's the difference between "Crop to fill" and "Expand canvas"?
When you straighten a photo, the corners no longer line up with a rectangle. "Crop to fill" trims in slightly so the result is a clean rectangle with no empty corners. "Expand canvas" instead keeps every bit of the original photo and fills the new corners with a transparent or coloured background.
Can I fix several photos at once?
Yes. Add as many pictures as you like — the same flip, turn or straighten settings apply to all of them. Download them one at a time, or all together as a ZIP file.
Does this keep my photo's date, camera and location details?
Not by default. If you're saving as JPG and want to keep those details, turn on "Keep photo details" under "More options".
What format will my picture be saved as?
By default it keeps the same format it started in, so a JPG stays a JPG. Open "More options" and change "Save as" if you'd rather save it as PNG, WEBP or another format.
Can I type an exact angle instead of dragging the slider?
Yes. Use the "Exact angle" box next to the straighten slider under "More options" — useful when you know precisely how many degrees a scan or photo is tilted.
